Youth Baseball
A lot of young and aspiring youth baseball players are often seen doing training and baseball camps, all for the love of baseball. When youth baseball is the concern, definitely there is a need for these youth baseball players to know the basic of the game.
Batting, Outs And Strikes
Generally, a youth baseball game is usually consisted of six innings. In every inning; each of the team pitch and field; while the other team does the bats. When the team that does the batting gets three outs, automatically the other team will do the batting this time. Additionally, a batter is considered out when he gets three strikes. He could also be out of the game if he hits a ball caught, before the ball hits the ground. The batter is also out when the ball is being thrown towards the first baseman, and the first baseman touches the base using their foot while he still have the ball on hand or on the glove. When any field member of teams tags the batter using the ball or even with only with the glove but has the ball before a batter could reach first base, it is also considered out.
As for the base runner, he is considered out when he is forced out, even before arriving on to the next base, or when he is tagged out from the base. There are also three factors where a batter can have three strikes. The first one is when he swings and generally miss a ball, or when a ball hits “foul”. Likewise, when a baseball ball is thrown towards a strike zone but is not swung at, then it is considered a strike.
What Is A Foul Ball
A foul ball is basically a ball that is hit, then rolls outside of the line from the home plate to the first base, or outside a line from the home plate to the third bases. But when a ball that hits within the previously described lines, then it is called a fair ball. The batter does not receive a final strike for hitting what they call a foul ball. However, an exception applies if the foul hit ball or the fair ball is caught just before it falls to the ground, then the batter is definitely out.
The Strike Zone
The strike zone is just about the width of a baseball home field, though there are some that measures about a little wider. It has a height from the knees towards the shoulder of a baseball batter. This zone also slightly varies among different leagues as well as umpires. As mentioned, when the ball pitched is just within the strike zone but the batter does not swing, automatically the umpire calls it a strike.
Balls And Walks
If a baseball pitcher pitches towards an area that is outside the strike zone and called “ball” by the baseball umpire but still the batter does not do a swing, then it is counted as a “ball”. Additionally, if the baseball batter is given four more balls before he strikes out, a “walk” is given. In a “walk”, a baseball batter is generally allowed to safety move to the first base.

By doing so, young players will not only know the basic rules of baseball, but also learn the importance of having the proper youth baseball equipment and gears.
