It’s none other than the Milwaukee Brewers! And in the year 1996, there was one team from the National League that had to endure or go through a 20-day road trip for the season. Which MLB team is this? It was actually the Atlanta Braves who had to go through this trip! And what do the baseball teams of New York, Houston, and Detroit have in common? The answer is Rusty Staub! Yes, Staub is the only majors player who has played for these three teams more than 500 games apiece. As for the Dodgers, which pitcher in their lineup is known to fans worldwide as Double D? This is none other than Don Drysdale. There are also certain controversies concerning some of the baseball teams. A famous example of this would be from the 1995 World Series. The two World Series teams, the Atlanta Braves and the Cleveland Indians, were actually picketed by what was known as the American Indian Movement at the time. Yes, this was indeed a very controversial time in the history of baseball. And the trivia does not stop there at all. In fact, Boston named one of its harbor tunnels after a member of their very own Red Sox. And this is none other than its slugger, Ted Williams. Another piece of trivia about Ted Williams is that he was the player who was almost traded to take Joe DiMaggio’s place for the Red Sox. This was in the year 1976.
